Question: I’m a 17-year-old hockey player. I broke my nose last season during a game and my nose is now bent. I’m looking to have a nose job to correct the deformity. My only concern is I still play hockey and have the risk of being hit in the face again. Is this a valid concern? Would I be able to have another rhinoplasty if I were to suffer other injuries? Answer: It is certainly possible to refracture you nose after corrective surgery and another rhinoplasty would be indicated in that case. A good hockey helmet would be a very good thing to wear after rhinoplasty surgery in a hockey player.
