I’m 19 years old and want my ears pinned back permanently. Is this usually done on an inpatient or outpatient basis? How long before all the swelling or bruising is gone?
Pinning back of ears, or otoplasty, is performed through an incision behind the ears. This is done as an outpatient surgery. Most patients wear a headband for a week. It takes a few weeks before all the swelling or bruising is gone.
