I’m in the marines and wear my hair short. I?ve been called all kinds of names because my ears stick out. If I opt for otoplasty, will it be performed in a hospital? How long before my ears look good? We do almost all of our otoplasties in our accredited office-based setting. Patients do wear a large bandage for at least one night after surgery and after that, we change them out into a headband which they need to wear for about a week. The ears look good almost immediately but they may be bruised and may take a few weeks before they?re really able to go out in public without the headband and without the bruising.
