Question: I’m interested in narrowing my nostrils and having my bridge made smaller. I’ve been told that doing both can sometimes be tricky. Is this true and if so, why? Answer: We typically perform open rhinoplasties now and we would narrow the nostrils and do a reduction rhinoplasty at the same time unless the patient had a history of significant vascular compromise or was a smoker, in which case we would not do these procedures at the same time.
