Question:
Fat grafting doesn’t seem as popular as other procedures. Is it not as effective as surgery or fillers?
Answer:
Fat grafting is an adjunct to surgery. We use it to fill deflated faces and also to fill other areas of the body. One of our favorite surgeries in our office is a facelift, fat grafting and laser resurfacing which corrects many of the different signs of aging including droopy skin, deflated tissues and wrinkles on the face. Many patients opt to choose fillers instead of fat grafting because it?s an easier procedure, but for significant volume loss, fat grafting is a more cost effective procedure.
