Torsoplasty is a surgical procedure which treats not only gynecomastia (the enlargement of male breast tissue), but also the rest of the torso in a combined, one-time procedure. With just one procedure, you can achieve a more sculpted chest, a flatter abdomen and a sleeker silhouette.
What is torsoplasty surgery like?
Prior to your surgery, you and Dr. Jacobs will go over every aspect of the surgery together. He will ask you questions about your personal aesthetic goals and go over what to expect in terms of the procedure itself as well as your results. He will also help you take any needed steps to prepare for surgery.
On the day of your surgery, you will arrive at Sanctuary Plastic Surgery’s ambulatory operating room suite. You will be under twilight sedation for the full duration of your procedure, which is usually between 3 and 4 hours. Dr. Jacobs will perform the gynecomastia part of your procedure first, followed by liposuction in the appropriate areas (this will be determined by you and Dr. Jacobs prior to your surgery)
