Vaginal rejuvenation encompasses a variety of procedures designed to improve both the appearance and function of the vaginal area, helping women feel more comfortable and confident. These procedures address concerns related to the labia, vaginal tightness, and volume loss in the labial tissue.
Labiaplasty (Labial Reduction)
A labiaplasty, or labial reduction, is a plastic surgery procedure that reduces the size of the labia minora (inner labia). Women with elongated, protruding, or asymmetrical labia may experience:
- Physical discomfort
- Social embarrassment
- Pain during activities like exercise, intimate moments, or even while wearing tight clothing
Labiaplasty can also address the outer labia (labia majora) by reducing or augmenting them to achieve the desired cosmetic appearance.

How Labial Reduction Surgery Is Performed
Our accredited surgery suite performs labial reduction under local anesthesia, IV sedation, or general anesthesia. The procedure typically takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Dr. Riccio will carefully trim and reshape the labia minora based on your specific cosmetic goals. Additional procedures such as clitoral hood reduction, labia majora reduction, or fat grafting to the labia can be performed at the same time, depending on your needs and desires.
