What Is MOXI™ Laser? What Can It Do for My Skin?

The MOXI laser treatment is gentle and safe for all skin types. Visible skin rejuvenation is achieved by a fractional non-ablative treatment with a 1927nm device heating tiny columns of your skin, leaving the surrounding skin intact and unharmed for faster healing. The treatment can treat the following skin conditions:

  • Sun damage
  • Sun spots
  • Age spots
  • Freckles
  • Rough or uneven skin texture
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Melasma

What Is the Treatment Experience?

Many people choose to undergo MOXI laser in Boca Raton to maintain the results of a more invasive skin resurfacing treatment or as a way of getting started with skin treatments. Your treatment takes only about 15 minutes to complete. Numbing cream is generally used prior to treatment and you will be resting comfortably while the device is rolled across your skin. You can expect a prickling sensation and a about 15 minutes of heat after the procedure. Redness may be present for an hour or two and makeup can be applied within a few hours. You can go out the night of your procedure and most likely no one would know you had anything done. It takes a week or so to see the results, and generally a few treatments spaced a few weeks apart are recommended.

Anti-Aging Treatment for Refreshed Skin

In Boca Raton and throughout South Florida, your facial skin is constantly exposed to the sun. Boating, swimming, and other outdoor activities can lead to skin damage at an early age. For younger people who are concerned about skin damage, MOXI treatments can keep the skin healthy, youthful, and glowing.

How Long Is the Recovery After MOXI™?

After your treatment, your skin may look and feel as if it has a sunburn. During the following days, you can expect your skin to begin to shed old skin cells, with a slightly rough or sandy texture. Once the dead skin cells have sloughed off, you are left with fresh, glowing skin that looks restored and rejuvenated.

A Series of Treatments for Maximum Results

When undergoing treatment with a Moxi laser in West Palm Beach, we may recommend a series of treatments performed at three to four-week intervals, followed by regular touch-ups yearly or bi-yearly to maintain your refreshed skin.

How Does MOXI™ Work?

MOXI delivers light energy at a specific wavelength. It is non-ablative and does not damage the skin surface but passes through the upper skin layers to trigger a regenerative response. Your skin responds to the energy by producing higher levels of collagen and elastin – the proteins that provide the flexible, supple support of youthful skin. MOXI treatments can be combined with other skin renewal treatments for more dramatic results.

Types of Anesthesia

Local Anesthesia

This technique produces insensitivity of a desired region of the body while leaving the remainder of the patient unaffected. A local anesthetic is typically augmented with intravenous sedation to allow the patient a pain-free and anxiety-free surgery.

ProNox

ProNox is a revolutionary system that utilizes a combination of nitrous oxide and oxygen to ease your anxiety and significantly reduce your discomfort during a procedure performed under a local anesthetic.
